Holiday Greetings: Joyous Kwanzaa from TwelveTotems.blog #Kwanzaa

TwelveTotems.blog wishes all who remember and observe “Heri Za Kwanzaa” or a “Joyous Kwanzaa!” Kwanzaa is a seven-day, non-sectarian African diaspora festival celebrated annually from December 26 through January 1. The holiday was created in 1966 by African-American activist Maulana Karenga, formerly known as Ronald McKinley Everett. Kwanzaa celebrates the “Nguzo Saba” (“Seven Principles” in Swahili) of African heritage. These seven principles are as follows:

  1. Umoja (Unity)
  2. Kujichagulia (Self-Determination)
  3. Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)
  4. Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)
  5. Nia (Purpose)
  6. Kuumba (Creativity)
  7. Imani (Faith)

May this Kwanzaa holiday season be a time of joy, peace, and togetherness for the global African nation!
